Advanced Immobilization Technology for Patients' Unique Needs

Immobilization Technology
Exiom is proud to introduce the next generation of post traumatic and therapeutic immobilization technology into the U.S. Made from tablet 3D scans, they are lightweight and comfortable as well as waterproof, and can be worn in the shower for optimal hygiene. Our technology is based on the award-winning system from Xkelet, Europe’s leading 3D printed cast innovator.
The unique open lattice design improves and accelerates the overall healing experience, allowing for better ventilation. When connected to a low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) bone stimulator system, the design also allows for probes to be placed directly on the skin over the injured area.

How 3D Cast Printing Works
The key to the process is the scanning software in combination with an Apple iPad and attached sensor. A technician moves a scanner around the patient’s limb creating a 3D cast in real time. The software calculates the cast’s length, width, height and volume.
Casts are 3D printed with bio-compatible materials using proprietary scanning and modeling software. This provides precise control of the stiffness and density of the immobilization, which the physician can specify.
